Due to the growth of gang membership nationally and as a preventative measure, the Stop Houston Gangs Task Force has created this website to educate the public about criminal gangs and provide a way for residents to report tips to thwart the potential threat. Gangs are morphing, multiplying, migrating and entrenching themselves in our inner cities, suburbs and rural communities. They are selling drugs to our kids, shooting up our neighborhoods, invading our homes, robbing our banks and stores, stealing our identities, our money, and instilling fear and violence everywhere they go.  Gang-related crimes typically fall within the jurisdiction of state and local law enforcement. In response to the growth in gang membership nationally, several Houston based federal, state, and local agencies have joined forces and created the Stop Houston Gangs Task Force. Read more>>

The act of engaging in criminal activity as a structured group is referred to in the United States as racketeering. Once a gang shifts from turf wars and organizes illegal activities with a money focus they have crossed the line and can be classified as an Organized Criminal Enterprise.

Houston’s most wanted gangster … weighs 106 pounds By Dane Schiller Blog.Chron.Com 10/30/14An estimated 20,000 gangsters are in the Houston region, and the most wanted man among them weighs just 106 pounds, according to authorities. Perhaps the name of the gang Lonnie Richardson Walton allegedly belongs to says it all _ ”Tempted Young Goon.”
